BJP Secures Two, INDIA Alliance Grabs Three Seats in Palamu

MEDININAGAR – In the recent Jharkhand Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured victories in two constituencies within Palamu district, while the INDIA Alliance clinched three seats.

The counting process was conducted under stringent security measures at the GLA College campus, commencing at 8 AM.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan, along with Election Observer and Superintendent of Police Rishma Rameshan, oversaw the proceedings.

By 9:30 AM, initial results began to emerge, with candidates leading in their respective constituencies.

In Daltonganj, BJP’s Alok Chaurasia garnered 102,175 votes, narrowly defeating Congress’s Krishnanand Tripathi, who secured 101,285 votes, resulting in a margin of 890 votes.

Hussainabad witnessed a decisive victory for RJD’s Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav, who amassed 81,476 votes, surpassing BJP’s Kamlesh Kumar Singh by 34,634 votes.

Chhatarpur saw Congress’s Radha Krishna Kishore obtaining 71,857 votes, edging out BJP’s Pushpa Devi by 736 votes.

In Bishrampur, RJD’s Naresh Prasad Singh achieved a significant win with 74,338 votes, defeating BJP’s Ramchandra Chandravanshi by 14,587 votes.

Panki constituency was secured by BJP’s Kushwaha Shashibhushan Mehta, who received 75,991 votes, defeating independent candidate Devendra Kumar Singh by 9,796 votes.

Following the announcements, the district administration issued certificates to the victorious candidates.

Celebrations ensued, with winners attributing their success to the support and blessings of the electorate.

A local resident remarked, "The election process was conducted smoothly, and the results reflect the people’s mandate."

These outcomes highlight the dynamic political landscape in Palamu, with both the BJP and the INDIA Alliance making significant inroads.
