JAMSHEDPUR – With the Jharkhand Assembly election results scheduled for November 23, Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal visited the vote counting centre at Cooperative College, Jamshedpur, on Wednesday.
The inspection focused on reviewing security arrangements at the strong room and ensuring readiness for the vote counting process.
Officials examined the constituency-wise counting setup, directing teams to maintain adequate lighting, barricading, and the availability of essential materials at counting tables. The DC emphasized strict adherence to the Election Commission’s guidelines while ensuring that all necessary facilities were in place at the counting venue.
Separate barricades were instructed for the movement of counting agents, candidates, laborers, and officers, alongside issuing ID cards to all personnel involved. Provisions such as food packets, drinking water, and EVM sealing arrangements for on-duty staff were also mandated.
Additionally, the DC directed timely arrangements for parking, vehicle entry passes, and a media gallery. Senior officials reiterated the importance of completing preparations to ensure smooth counting day operations.
