JAMSHEDPUR – The National Lok Adalat, scheduled for December 14, will focus on resolving pre-litigation and reconciliation cases across the country, including Jamshedpur and Ghatsila Civil Courts.
District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Secretary Rajendra Prasad emphasized prioritizing cases suitable for amicable settlement. The initiative aims to deliver quick and effective justice to reduce the pendency of cases.
DLSA provides free legal aid, legal defense services for undertrial prisoners, and conducts legal awareness campaigns. Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs) have been deployed in all police stations in the district to assist with legal aid and awareness.
In addition, Legal Literacy Clubs have been established in schools to educate students about their legal rights and responsibilities, promoting a culture of legal understanding from a young age.
