JAMSHEDPUR – A theft of crane equipment valued at ₹16 lakh occurred near Mukhiadanga in the MGM police jurisdiction on November 5.

A case has been registered against unknown suspects based on the complaint of Devesh Mishra, an HR officer from Jersey India Pvt. Ltd., originally from Uttar Pradesh.

According to police reports, the crane was stationed at Mukhiadanga when the theft of high-value wires took place.

The stolen items were primarily wire rolls, which were essential for the crane’s operation.

Authorities suspect financial disputes regarding pending installments on the crane might be linked to the incident.

“The crane was acquired through financing, and installment pressures have been raised by the finance company,” a police source revealed.

Currently, police are focusing on the theft angle while also considering possible motives tied to the financial disputes.

Further investigations are ongoing to trace the stolen materials and identify the culprits.
