MEDININAGAR – A tragic accident in Chainpur’s Baraon village claimed the life of 23-year-old Mukesh Kumar Sahu, who was caught in his own thresher machine while harvesting paddy on Tuesday morning.

Mukesh, a resident of Khuntar Khurd in Mahugawan Panchayat, was operating his thresher machine when the accident occurred. His father, Suresh Sahu, reported that Mukesh had taken the machine to Baraon for paddy harvesting earlier that day.

The mishap left Mukesh fatally injured. Local police, led by Chainpur Station In-charge Shriram Sharma, reached the scene and sent the body to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MRMCH) for postmortem.

Police confirmed that they are waiting for a formal complaint from the family before initiating further legal action.

The incident highlights the risks associated with agricultural machinery and the need for enhanced safety measures during farming operations.
