Jamshedpur Bhojpuri Sahitya Parishad Celebrates 69th Foundation Day
Grand event includes poetry evening and tribute to Bhikhari Thakur.
The Jamshedpur Bhojpuri Sahitya Parishad celebrated its 69th Foundation Day at Tulsi Bhavan, featuring a "Pavas Kavya Sandhya" and a tribute to the late Bhikhari Thakur.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Bhojpuri Sahitya Parishad marked its 69th Foundation Day with an elaborate celebration at Tulsi Bhavan.
The event, held under the chairmanship of Parishad President Dr. Prasenjit Tiwari and conducted by Joint Secretary Dr. Veena Pandey Bharti, included a "Pavas Kavya Sandhya" and a tribute to the late Bhikhari Thakur on his death anniversary.
Dr. Angad Tiwari, Director of Arka Jain University, was the chief guest.
Treasurer Dr. Yamuna Tiwari ‘Vyathit’ welcomed the attendees with an introductory speech.
Dr. Prasenjit Tiwari elaborated on Bhikhari Thakur’s immense contributions to the Bhojpuri community.
The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a Saraswati Vandana by Smt. Madhavi Upadhyay:
" Jagat vyapini ke jai jai ho
Hans vahini ke jai jai ho
Matu Sharda aisan var da
Buddhi, vivek, gyan se bhari da
Sahas, seel, hiya mein bhari da
Sanyam, saancha neh ke var da."
Principal Secretary Dr. Ajay Ojha presented a detailed report on the history, activities, achievements, and future plans of the Parishad.
In the second session, ‘Pavas Kavya Sandhya,’ poets recited their monsoon-themed works, adding depth to the event.
Participating poets included Rajendra Sah ‘Raj,’ Sheetal P. Dubey, Vinay Kumar Srivastava, Yamuna Tiwari ‘Vyathit,’ Kailash Nath Sharma ‘Gazipuri,’ Harihar Rai Chauhan, Dr. Uday Pratap Hayat, Aarti Srivastava, Nivedita Srivastava, Madhavi Upadhyay, Dr. Ajay Ojha, Shashi Ojha ‘Shashi,’ Susmita Salilatmaja, Veena Pandey ‘Bharti,’ Braj Mohan Rai ‘Dehati,’ Reena Sinha, Usha Jha, Upasana Sinha, Poonam Singh, and Poonam Sharma ‘Snehil.’
Chief guest Dr. Angad Tiwari expressed his happiness at witnessing such literary events in Bhojpuri, stressing the importance of unity among Bhojpuri speakers and encouraging the continuation of such programs and the involvement of new participants.
Parishad Secretary Kailash Nath Sharma ‘Gazipuri’ thanked the attendees for making the event a success.
The ceremony concluded with the national anthem.
