JAMSHEDPUR – Saryu Roy, NDA candidate from Jamshedpur West, called on voters to unite for the upcoming election, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of “staying united for safety” and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s statement, “Divided, we fall.”
Roy made these remarks during a padayatra, urging voters to support him to ensure community safety and stability.
Roy criticized incumbent MLA Banna Gupta, alleging that Gupta has formed a gang of criminals who roam Sonari and Kadma, using intimidation tactics against residents.
He claimed, “These criminal elements target anyone accompanying me, attempting to threaten them.”
Roy asserted that he and his team are facing an alliance of “criminals and corrupt individuals,” which he sees as the true opposition in this election.
He affirmed that his “Gas Cylinder” symbol enjoys BJP’s full support, and recent campaign progress signals a likely victory for the NDA.
Roy also pointed to a circulating video in which Gupta reportedly promises to act as a “wall” to protect Muslims from any Hindu attacks, reflecting what Roy describes as a contest between Gupta and AIMIM’s Babar Khan for Muslim votes in the constituency.
Roy suggested that Babar Khan’s popularity among Muslim voters may be causing increased tension for Gupta.
He called on his supporters to increase the victory margin, emphasizing that unity is essential to counteract the influence of crime and corruption in the area.
