JAMSHEDPUR – At the Gogo Didi Conference in Jamshedpur East, Union Minister Annapurna Devi announced financial benefits for Jharkhand women under a potential BJP government.

Thousands of women attended the BJP-organized event held at Agrico Transport Grounds, where Annapurna Devi, the Union Minister for Women and Child Development, addressed the crowd as the chief guest. BJP candidate Purnima Sahu, along with leaders from neighboring states, including MLA Bhavna Bohra from Chhattisgarh and BJP West Bengal spokesperson Madhavi Agarwal, also joined the event.

Annapurna Devi announced a plan to empower women by providing Rs. 2,100 monthly and Rs. 25,000 annually to each woman if BJP assumes power in Jharkhand. She also pledged free education for girls through postgraduate levels and special provisions such as a gas cylinder for Rs. 500 and two free cylinders during festival seasons. Additionally, she highlighted a new scheme offering Rs. 31,000 in support for pregnant women.

The minister criticized the current Jharkhand government, led by Hemant Soren, for allegedly failing to provide sufficient support to women, mentioning unfulfilled promises such as consistent pension and adequate housing under the PM Awas Yojana. “Women in Jharkhand have suffered due to the state government’s neglect,” she claimed. Devi urged attendees to support BJP candidate Purnima Sahu in the upcoming elections to bring about change.

BJP candidate Purnima Sahu further called on voters to reject the current government, claiming its policies had left youth jobless and pensioners without support. She described recent initiatives as “election gimmicks” and encouraged women to back BJP for lasting benefits.
