Annual Sports Day Ignites Spirit of Sportsmanship Among Students

Kids International Play School’s Annual Sports Meet at JRD Tata Sports Complex concludes, celebrating young talents in sports.

JAMSHEDPUR – The much-awaited Annual Sports Meet for the academic year 2023-24 of Kids International Play School concluded with a flourish at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, inaugurated by Padmashree awardee Purnima Mahato.

Esteemed guests including Dr. Aastha Raman and Purnima Mahato, alongside other dignitaries like Dr. Hassan Imam Mallik and Nirmala Kumari Barelia, graced the event, underscoring its significance.

The opening ceremony featured traditional elements such as the lighting of the torch and balloon release, symbolizing the start of an exciting day of sports.

Syed Rashid Zafar, the School Director, expressed his gratitude towards the guests, setting a tone of appreciation and respect.

Purnima Mahato, the Chief Guest, inspired the young athletes by highlighting the importance of fair play and sportsmanship.

The students presented a series of performances, including drills and a ramp walk, showcasing their skills and enthusiasm for sports.

The announcement of an upcoming daycare program was also made, indicating the school’s commitment to comprehensive child development.

The event culminated with Principal Rukhshar Ayesha extending thanks to all involved, from participants to guests and sponsors, for making the sports meet a grand success.

Titles such as Mr. and Miss GVT were awarded, along with seventeen other recognitions, celebrating the achievements and attributes of the students.

The inclusion of a safety awareness session by police officers from Saraikela PS added an educational dimension to the event, emphasizing the importance of women’s safety.

With a blend of competitive spirit, educational sessions, and communal appreciation, the Annual Sports Meet not only celebrated sports but also fostered a sense of community and awareness among the students.
