LOHARDAGA – An SSB jawan assigned to election duty in Jharkhand’s Lohardaga district reportedly took his own life with his rifle early in the morning.

The incident took place at a temporary election duty camp in a government school in Bhundra. The deceased, identified as Anappa Duggal from Karnataka, allegedly shot himself with his INSAS rifle shortly after completing a night guard shift. Local police and administrative officers arrived on the scene promptly following the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and officials have launched an investigation into the circumstances.

While the initial report suggests suicide, authorities have not determined the motive. Senior officials are examining possible factors and awaiting the post-mortem results to shed light on this tragic event.
