RANCHI – The upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections spotlight the crucial role of 1.29 crore female voters in determining electoral outcomes.
Female voters now comprise almost half of Jharkhand’s 2.60 crore registered voters.
Meanwhile, constituencies like Barhet and Seraikela demonstrate a clear majority of women voters.
Moreover, Barhet constituency has registered 1.15 lakh women among its 2.25 lakh total voters.
Furthermore, Seraikela shows higher female registration with 1.85 lakh women voters versus 1.83 lakh male voters.
However, political parties have intensified their focus on women-centric campaign strategies.
The state government currently provides monthly financial support to over 50 lakh women.
In addition, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has promised to increase monthly payments to Rs 2,500.
Meanwhile, BJP has launched the Gogo Didi Yojana targeting female voters.
Furthermore, the party has pledged Rs 2,100 monthly deposits for women if elected.
The election schedule spans two phases on November 13 and November 20.
