Teachers Honored in Grand Celebration at Sona Devi University
Students pay tribute with cultural performances and heartfelt speeches
Sona Devi University commemorated National Teachers’ Day with a vibrant celebration, honoring educators through traditional rituals and cultural showcases.
JAMSHEDPUR – Sona Devi University commemorated National Teachers’ Day with a grand celebration that included traditional traditional greetings, cultural performances, and tributes to educators.
Tilak ceremonies were conducted by students to welcome their instructors, who presented bouquets and gifts as expressions of gratitude.
The celebrations were initiated with the illumination of a ceremonial lamp and a Ganesh Vandana, which established a respectful atmosphere.
The students’ talents and gratitude were exhibited through a diverse multitude of cultural performances, such as dance, music, poetry recitations, and poster presentations.
Chancellor Prabhakar Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. J.P. Mishra, and Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Gulab Singh ‘Azad’ were present at the event, in addition to department principals and faculty members.
The student body’s active involvement in commemorating their mentors was demonstrated by first-year student Shubhdeep Karji, who anchored the program.
Students Kaushalendra, Kashish Lala, and Mousami Das delivered speeches that underscored the significance of Teachers’ Day and the influence of educators on society.
The speakers also paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is commemorated as Teachers’ Day in India.
Dr. Radhakrishnan’s contributions to education were further elucidated upon by Professor Monica Singh of the School of Management Science.
Dr. Radhakrishnan’s impact on Indian culture, philosophy, and politics was the subject of a discussion by Professor Pooja Tiwari of the School of Engineering and Technology.
The event served to emphasize the important role of educators in the development of future generations by highlighting the profound respect and admiration that students have for their instructors.
