JAMSHEDPUR – Subhash Sanskriti Parishad and The Milanee jointly commemorated INA Day, shedding light on overlooked aspects of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s contributions to India’s freedom movement.

The celebration took place at Milanee Hall in Bistupur, drawing a substantial crowd of Parishad members.

Shekhar Dey, the founder of Subhash Sanskriti Parishad, presided over the event.

Bijay Kumar Singh, former Kolhan Commissioner and President of Netaji Subhash Manch, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony to honor Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Attendees paid floral tributes to the revered freedom fighter, setting a solemn tone for the proceedings.

In his address, Shekhar Dey recounted a pivotal moment in India’s struggle for independence.

He spoke about Bose’s historic act of hoisting the tricolor in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on December 30, 1943.

Dey expressed disappointment over the political neglect of this significant event in India’s historical narrative.

The founder also delved into another crucial but often overlooked historical event.

He discussed the 1943 Proclamation of the Provisional Government of Azad Hind by Bose in Singapore.

Dey highlighted the international recognition received by this provisional government from countries like Japan and Italy.

The event featured additional speeches by prominent figures associated with the organizing bodies.

Dipankar Dutta, Secretary of The Milanee, shared his thoughts on the importance of remembering Bose’s legacy.

Surjit Chatterjee, Secretary of Subhash Sanskriti Parishad, also addressed the gathering with his insights.

The speakers emphasized the need to preserve and promote lesser-known aspects of India’s independence struggle.
