JAMSHEDPUR – Thousands of residents from Jamshedpur East rallied in support of BJP leader and social activist Shiv Shankar Singh on Sunday, protesting against the party’s ticket allocation to Purnima Das, daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

The crowd gathered at Singh’s office, expressing their anger over the BJP’s decision to bypass dedicated party workers in favor of family members.

Shiv Shankar Singh, addressing the crowd, voiced strong opposition to the BJP’s double standards on nepotism.

He pointed out the party’s inconsistency, stating, “On one hand, BJP criticizes other national and regional parties for promoting family politics, but on the other hand, they ignore dedicated workers and give tickets to family members with no real connection to the party or the public."

Singh also revealed that he would be purchasing his nomination papers on Monday, following the overwhelming support of the local community.

During the meeting, supporters raised slogans backing Singh and promised to work tirelessly to secure a historic victory in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Prominent figures present included Saraswati Sahu, Ruby Jha, Beauty Tiwari, Rashmi Bhardwaj, Gurucharan Singh Billa, Satyendra Singh Romi, Durga Rao, Harisingh Rajput, Suresh Mukhi, Shankar Agarwal, Anil Kumar Sinha, Jitendra Singh Jeetu, and many other respected community members.
