JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur police have solved the murder case of Chhotu Singh, also known as Rohit Singh, who was killed on October 14 in Bagbera.
The police arrested five suspects connected to the crime, as confirmed by SSP Kishore Kaushal during a press conference.
The main accused, Sumit Mandal, also known as Babu Bengali, suspected that the victim had an illicit relationship with his wife.
To exact revenge, Mandal, along with his accomplices Rajju Hessa, Nitish Rai, Manish Kumar Agarwal, and Roshan Gupta, plotted and executed the murder.
Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested the suspects near Baroda Ghat in Bagbera.
During the raid, two country-made pistols used in the murder were seized along with nine bullets, three magazines, a motorcycle, and three mobile phones.
All five accused have been sent to judicial custody.
