JAMSHEDPUR – East Singhbhum district administration is taking extensive steps to ensure free and fair Assembly elections.

On Sunday, an interstate meeting was held at the Jamshedpur district headquarters auditorium to discuss election preparations under the Model Code of Conduct.

Key officials, including the Kolhan Commissioner, Kolhan DIG, and East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner, participated along with representatives from neighboring states.

The meeting focused on ensuring smooth interstate movement, with special checks during the election period.

Kolhan Commissioner Hari Kumar Keshri emphasized that conducting peaceful and impartial elections is their top priority.

He added that neighboring districts and state officials also attended the meeting virtually.

Meanwhile, Kolhan DIG Manoj Ratan Chothe mentioned that crucial topics were discussed, including the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festivals, which the administration aims to manage efficiently.

With only two phases for this election, Chothe highlighted the increased movement of police and security forces to maintain order.

After the meeting, officials also launched a voter awareness campaign, which included a signature drive, balloon release, and a "Voting Point" selfie initiative to encourage voter participation.
