JAMSHEDPUR – BJP faces internal dissent as workers rally against the party’s decision to allocate the Ichagarh assembly seat to alliance partner AJSU.

Hundreds of BJP supporters from Ichagarh converged at the party’s state headquarters in Ranchi.

The protesters voiced their opposition to the seat allocation decision.

Moreover, they demanded that BJP field its own candidate for the Ichagarh assembly seat.

Ankur Singh, nephew of former MLA Arvind Kumar Singh, led the demonstration.

Furthermore, the protesters emphasized Ichagarh’s status as a traditional BJP stronghold.

They raised slogans highlighting their dissatisfaction with the party’s decision.

Additionally, the demonstration lasted for approximately three hours.

The workers stressed BJP’s strong performance in previous elections from Ichagarh.

In particular, they noted the party’s success during the Lok Sabha polls.

"Ichagarh has always been a BJP bastion," a protester remarked.

They added, "The people here favor a BJP candidate."

Union Minister Sanjay Seth had previously supported BJP’s claim to the seat.

However, the party leadership’s decision to allocate the seat to AJSU has sparked controversy.

The protesters made their position clear regarding future actions.

Meanwhile, they expressed full support for any BJP candidate fielded from Ichagarh.

On the other hand, if AJSU receives the ticket, they plan to regroup and strategize.

The demonstration highlights the challenges of managing alliance dynamics in Indian politics.
