JAMSHEDPUR – A school van driver was fatally shot in his Bagbera home, with police investigating a possible connection to a recent dispute.
Rohit Kumar Singh, also known as Chotu Singh, met a tragic end in Bagbera Kitadih.
The victim’s body was discovered on Monday morning.
Singh’s grandfather, Alak Singh, found him lying lifeless in the courtyard.
Surprisingly, no one reported hearing gunshots during the night.
The deceased was rushed to TMH around 6 AM.
However, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
According to sources, Singh had recently been involved in an altercation with some local youths.
"This incident may have led to the fatal attack," speculated a local resident.
Meanwhile, the police are exploring all possible angles in their investigation.
The victim’s father provided crucial information to the authorities.
He mentioned a dispute between one K Chaubey and S Sharma.
Apparently, Rohit Kumar Singh had intervened in this conflict.
This intervention led to a heated argument with S Sharma.
"They had allegedly threatened to shoot and kill Singh," hinted the family.
The father suspects S Sharma’s involvement in the crime.
However, the police have yet to confirm any details officially.
Investigators recovered a shell casing from the crime scene.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
