Transport Worker Dies in Accident Near Kharasawan Due to Poor Traffic Management

SERAIKELA – A tragic accident near Kharasawan on Sunday night claimed the life of a transport worker due to poorly managed traffic arrangements by local authorities.

The victim, Ramnivas, an employee of Jagdamba Company, was riding his bike (JH 09 AH-8316) when he crashed into a parked truck.

The incident occurred around 8:25 PM when heavy vehicles were halted along Birsa Chowk to Barbil Chowk due to a "No Entry" order imposed by the district administration.

Ramnivas was heading towards Seraikela from Shri Cement Plant when he collided with the truck in the dark, dying on the spot.

The local police arrived shortly after, taking custody of the body and initiating an investigation.

In addition, two others were severely injured in separate accidents that night.

Aman Samad (30) from Jilingda was seriously injured when an unknown vehicle hit him near Ranga Mati village around 8:00 PM.

He was taken to Sadar Hospital and later referred to MGM Hospital for further treatment.

In another incident, an 18-year-old girl named Rani Murli was hit by a speeding motorcycle while on her way to a fair near Rajbandh around 8:15 PM.

Rani, from Sargidih, was also taken to Sadar Hospital and then referred to Jamshedpur for better medical care.

The motorcyclist fled the scene.
