JAMSHEDPUR – Two suspects in the murder of Pankaj Manjhi, who was shot dead in Adityapur’s Saldih Basti, have surrendered to the court amidst police pressure.
Following their surrender, the police took Kishan Gop, also known as Krishna Gop, and Chandan Yadav, alias Chandu Yadav, into custody for a 48-hour remand for interrogation.
During the questioning, police recovered a loaded pistol, two live bullets, and a blood-stained knife believed to have been used in the murder.
The police presented both accused in court after the completion of their remand.
Meanwhile, police are conducting raids to capture a third suspect, Sagar Gop, also known as Tuda, who remains at large.
