JAMSHEDPUR – In a ceremonial event, Jharkhand’s government transferred the third installment of funds to beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Maiyaan Samman Yojana through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
At the event held at the District Collectorate auditorium, MLA Jugsalai Mangal Kalindi, District Magistrate Ananya Mittal, and other key officials, including District Council President Mrs. Bari Murmu, participated.
The total amount of ₹27 crore was disbursed to 271,100 women across the district, with 10 recipients also receiving approval letters and gifts during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kalindi emphasized the state government’s commitment to women’s economic and social upliftment under Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s leadership.
He highlighted that over 5 million women have been connected with this scheme across the state.
Kalindi also urged the beneficiaries to take advantage of other welfare schemes, noting the importance of raising awareness among the public.
District Council President Mrs. Murmu encouraged all women between the ages of 18 and 50 to register for the scheme, which provides financial aid to promote women’s empowerment in the region.
