Hemant Soren Intensifies JMM Campaign in Kolhan

CM makes five visits to region, launches development projects

Key Points:

• JMM focuses on Kolhan after Champai Soren’s BJP switch

• Hemant Soren launches projects, questions BJP’s contributions

• Kalpana Soren boosts party morale with Mainyaan Samman Yatra

JAMSHEDPUR – Chief Minister Hemant Soren has ramped up the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s (JMM) campaign efforts in Kolhan following former CM Champai Soren’s defection to BJP.

Hemant Soren has made five visits to the Kolhan region recently.

The Chief Minister addressed rallies to reinforce party unity among supporters.

His efforts aim to secure Kolhan for JMM in the upcoming elections.

Key areas of focus include Gamharia, Chaibasa, Ghatshila, Dobo, and Baliguma.

During these visits, Soren launched several development projects.

He consistently questioned BJP’s contributions to the region’s progress.

Moreover, the CM highlighted his government’s achievements to rally public support.

Kalpana Soren, the Chief Minister’s wife, has also played a crucial role.

She spearheaded the Mainyaan Samman Yatra to boost JMM workers’ morale.

This initiative aims to solidify the party’s vote bank in Kolhan.

Meanwhile, BJP currently holds no seats in the Kolhan region.

The departure of Champai Soren to BJP has created a political vacuum.

In response, JMM leaders previously overshadowed by Champai are stepping up.

They are intensifying efforts to maintain JMM’s stronghold in Kolhan.

Champai Soren, now with BJP, downplayed the significance of Hemant’s visits.

He stated, "As Chief Minister, Hemant can visit any region as he wishes."

However, political analysts note the increased JMM activity in Kolhan.

They suggest this indicates the region’s importance in the upcoming elections.
