Birsa Munda Airport Unveils Winter Flight Schedule

New Timetable Brings Changes to Ranchi’s Air Connectivity from October 1

Key Points:

  • Ranchi-Bhubaneswar service discontinued

  • Bengaluru flights increase to 7, Hyderabad reduced to 3

  • Total 30 flights maintained, 3 airlines operating

RANCHI – Birsa Munda Airport’s winter schedule introduces shifts in flight timings and frequencies, while maintaining overall flight count.

The recently released winter flight schedule for Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi has brought about several changes in air connectivity options for travelers. The new timetable, which came into effect on October 1, showcases alterations in flight frequencies and destinations served.

One notable change is the increase in flights between Ranchi and Bengaluru, which have been bumped up from five to seven. Conversely, the number of flights to Hyderabad has seen a reduction from four to three. Unfortunately for those traveling to Odisha’s capital, the Ranchi-Bhubaneswar route has been discontinued.

Despite these adjustments, the airport has maintained its total flight count at 30, mirroring the previous summer schedule. This consistency ensures that passengers continue to have a variety of travel options available to them.

The winter schedule offers the following flight distribution:

Destination

Number of Flights

Delhi

9

Bengaluru

7

Kolkata

3

Hyderabad

3

Mumbai

2

Patna

2

Others

4

Passengers can choose from flights operated by three airlines serving Ranchi:

  1. IndiGo: 20 flights

  2. Air India Express: 9 flights

  3. Vistara: 1 flight

An airport official commented on the schedule changes, stating, "We strive to optimize our flight offerings to meet passenger demands while ensuring operational efficiency. The new winter schedule reflects these efforts."

For those looking to travel to Goa, it’s worth noting that while there is a direct flight from Goa to Ranchi, the reverse journey requires a connecting flight through either Kolkata or Bengaluru.

Travelers are advised to check the updated flight timings and plan their journeys accordingly to accommodate these changes in the winter schedule.
