JAMSHEDPUR – East Singhbhum Netball Association (ESNA) is set to breathe new life into the sport with upcoming district-level events and training initiatives.

ESNA President Anil Chaubey chaired a crucial meeting to discuss netball’s future in the district.

Moreover, the association plans to organize a district-level competition in early October.

The event will be open to schools from Jamshedpur and the surrounding areas.

Furthermore, current and former netball players are also invited to participate.

A one-day camp and competition for under-19 players will kick off the revival efforts.

Meanwhile, the People’s Academy Plus Two School in New Baradwari will host this inaugural event.

The competition aims to identify talented players for the East Singhbhum district team.

In addition, successful teams and players will receive prizes and certificates.

"We’re committed to nurturing netball talent in our district," remarked a sports teacher at the meeting.

However, the association recognizes the need for sustained efforts to promote the sport.

On the other hand, plans are underway to introduce netball in more schools across the district.

The meeting also addressed the importance of providing special trainers for aspiring players.
