Cyber Crime Bust: 3 Arrested with ₹52,500 Cash in Jamtara

JAMTARA – Jamtara police continue their crackdown on cyber crime, arresting three suspects with ₹52,500 in cash and various electronic devices.

The police apprehended three cyber criminals red-handed during their operation.

Moreover, authorities seized 10 mobile phones, 14 SIM cards, and one ATM card from the suspects.

Cyber DSP Ashok Kumar Ram revealed these details during a press conference.

He emphasized that the district’s campaign against cyber criminals is ongoing.

In addition, Ram stated that over a dozen offenders have been jailed in the past month.

The arrests were made based on confidential information received by the police.

Two suspects were apprehended from Pokhariya in Narayanpur police station area.

Meanwhile, the third arrest took place in Satuwatand village under Karmatand police station.

SP Ehtesham Waqarib described the arrested individuals as cunning and experienced criminals.

Furthermore, he mentioned that they had been involved in cyber crimes for an extended period.

The criminals’ area of operation reportedly spans Bengal, Jharkhand, and Bihar.

Interestingly, the suspects were caught while gathering to distribute their ill-gotten gains.

The DSP assured that the police are working diligently to eliminate cyber crime in the district.

This successful operation underscores the police’s commitment to combating digital fraud.
