• BJP opposes move, MP and ex-district chief assure support to shopkeepers

• Congress accused of conspiracy behind demolition plans

JAMSHEDPUR – The Lal Baba Foundry area faces potential demolition of 125 establishments, prompting strong opposition from the BJP and local leaders.

MP Bidyut Baran Mahato visited the site to meet with establishment owners.

He assured them of BJP’s support against the demolition plans.

"These establishments are people’s livelihoods. We won’t let them be demolished at any cost," Mahato stated firmly.

The MP urged the administration to find an alternative solution beneficial to the establishments.

Former BJP district president Dinesh Kumar also pledged support to the shopkeepers.

"BJP stands firmly with the shopkeepers and establishment operators," Kumar declared emphatically.

He accused the Congress and INDIA alliance of conspiring behind the demolition plans.

Kumar alleged that Congress was using fear tactics to gain votes.

"The public is well aware of their tactics. BJP won’t let them succeed," he asserted confidently.

Thousands of families have been associated with these establishments for decades.

The BJP leaders vowed to stand with them in every protest.

A local shopkeeper expressed his concerns, saying, "This demolition would destroy our only source of income."

Economic Impact

The potential demolition threatens the livelihoods of numerous families in the area.

Many establishments have been operating for several decades, supporting multiple generations.

The economic impact of such a large-scale demolition could be devastating for the local community.

A business owner stated, "We’ve invested our life savings into these establishments. Where will we go now?"

Political Implications

The issue has taken a political turn with BJP’s strong opposition to the demolition plans.

BJP leaders have accused the Congress of using the situation for vote bank politics.

However, the administration maintains that the anti-encroachment drive is necessary for urban development.

An official from the district administration, speaking on condition of anonymity, said, "We’re looking into legal alternatives to minimize the impact on livelihoods."

The situation remains tense as both sides stand firm on their positions.
