SDSM School Hosts CBSE East Zone Archery Championship 2024

JAMSHEDPUR – SDSM School for Excellence has inaugurated the CBSE Zonal (East Zone) Archery Championship 2024, set to run from September 23 to 25.

The event kicked off with a ceremonial lamp lighting.

Chief Guest Padmashri Purnima Mahato led the inauguration ceremony.

Chairman Diwakar Singh and Principal Moushumi Das joined in the lamp lighting.

Moreover, several archery champions and Olympians graced the occasion.

Ankita Bhagat, Bhajan Kaur, and Komolika Barik were among the notable attendees.

Additionally, prominent coach B.S. Rao and observer Poonam Roy participated in the event.

The championship welcomed schools from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

Over 300 participants paid homage to the CBSE Sports flag.

Furthermore, 400 SDSM students performed a vibrant welcome dance.

The performance culminated in revealing "ZONAL ARCHERY" through musical drills.

Principal Das expressed gratitude to CBSE for entrusting the event to SDSM.

She emphasized the importance of sports in education.

Meanwhile, Chief Guest Mahato motivated the students with her speech.

She highlighted archery’s potential to enhance academic performance through concentration.

Mahato officially opened the championship by releasing the event mascot.

On the other hand, the event showcased the school’s commitment to sports education.

The three-day championship promises exciting competition among young archers.

It provides a platform for students to showcase their skills at a zonal level.

The event underscores the growing importance of archery in school sports.
