JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) central general secretary Vinod Pandey has accused the BJP of being unsettled by the "massive success" of the Maiya Yojana.
Pandey made these remarks after a meeting at Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Community Hall in Kadma.
The gathering aimed to prepare a blueprint for countering BJP moves in the upcoming state Assembly Elections.
Moreover, party workers from booth-level to central levels from the Kolhan region participated in the meeting.
Pandey emphasized that the Maiya Yojana was specifically designed to benefit women.
He highlighted that 48 lakh women are benefiting from the scheme, surpassing JMM’s previous vote count.
Furthermore, Pandey asserted that the Jharkhand government implements schemes without discriminating based on caste or religion.
In response to questions about demographic changes, the JMM leader refuted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claims.
He argued that Jharkhand doesn’t share borders with any foreign country, ruling out illegal infiltration.
Additionally, Pandey called for accountability from the central government and security forces regarding any infiltration.
The JMM leader also accused the BJP of altering the political landscape in Jharkhand.
He claimed that BJP now features leaders from Congress, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha, and JMM.
Pandey alleged that people are reluctant to campaign under BJP’s banner in rural areas.
He suggested that the saffron party faces significant resentment in these regions.
Meanwhile, Pandey’s visit to Jamshedpur aimed to energize JMM cadres for the upcoming elections.
The meeting focused on strategizing ways to counter BJP’s moves in the state.
Pandey’s statements highlight the growing political tension between JMM and BJP in Jharkhand.
The success of the Maiya Yojana appears to be a key point of contention between the two parties.
As the Assembly Elections approach, both parties are likely to intensify their campaign efforts.
The JMM seems poised to leverage the popularity of its welfare schemes in its electoral strategy.
