Tata Steel UISL and JNAC Launch “Swachhta Hi Seva 2024” Campaign

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel UISL and the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) jointly inaugurated the "Swachhta Hi Seva 2024" campaign today, aligning with the Centre’s nationwide cleanliness initiative.

The event was led by Mr. Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel UISL, and Mr. Krishna Kumar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner of JNAC, who emphasized the campaign’s focus on enhancing cleanliness, sanitation, and sustainability in Jamshedpur.

Shri Vishwakarma Puja was also celebrated during the event, marking it as a Zero Waste initiative, which further highlighted the campaign’s commitment to effective waste management.

Additionally, the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative was launched, encouraging tree plantation to support environmental sustainability.

The campaign’s theme for this year, "Swabhav Swachhta, Sanskar Swachhta," aims to raise community awareness on the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.

The objectives of "Swachhta Hi Seva 2024" include promoting the segregation of wet and dry waste, reducing the use of single-use plastics, and encouraging active community participation in cleanliness efforts.

Citizens are urged to take the Swachhta Pledge, segregate waste at the source, avoid single-use plastics, plant trees, and join community cleanliness drives to support these initiatives.
