JAMSHEDPUR – A crucial meeting of Durga Puja organizers in Jamshedpur has brought to light various infrastructure challenges facing the upcoming celebrations.
The Central Zone A meeting of the Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee took place at Mal Sangh Sidhgora.
Representatives from 36 puja committees across the city participated in the gathering.
Zonal Secretary Omiyo Ojha conducted the meeting, which focused on addressing local concerns.
Several committees raised specific issues, including the need for water tankers and improved sanitation.
The Bagunhatu Shardiya Durga Puja Committee, run by women, requested slag removal and cleaning services.
Meanwhile, the Shitala Temple Gadabasa Puja Committee sought provision of dustbins in their area.
Electrical wiring concerns were highlighted by the Adarsh Nagar Durga Puja Committee.
The L4 Area Public Durga Puja Committee demanded immediate repair of drainage systems.
Other issues raised included tree trimming, lighting arrangements, and removal of obstacles at puja sites.
Ashutosh Singh, General Secretary of the central committee, assured prompt action on all concerns.
Committee President Achintam Gupta encouraged organizers to celebrate with full enthusiasm, noting no restrictions.
Ashok Sinha presided over the meeting, with key officials and committee members in attendance.
Local police representatives from Sidhgora and Golmuri stations were also present at the gathering.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Chandan Mishra of Shambhavi Vandana Durga Puja Committee.
