JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Pratibha Prasad ‘Kumkum’ was awarded the "Hindi Kavya Ratna" honor at an international poetry competition held in Lumbini, Nepal.
The competition was organized by the Shabd Pratibha Multisectoral Honor Foundation Nepal on the occasion of Hindi Day 2024.
The event saw participation from 6742 poets from countries including Nepal, India, the USA, Canada, Australia, and Tanzania.
Out of these, 675 exceptional poems were selected for recognition.
Dr. Prasad, a well-known poet from Jamshedpur, has made significant contributions to Hindi literature, particularly in poetry and storytelling.
She is credited with the unique concept of "Chhandamala" in poetry and holds a distinguished place in metered compositions.
The award was presented by the Foundation’s President Anand Giri Mayalu and Secretary Charna Kaur.
Dr. Prasad has previously been honored with over 325 awards, and she has published ten books to date.
She is also one of the founders of the multilingual literary organization Sahyog.
This prestigious recognition further solidifies her esteemed position in the world of Hindi literature.
