JAMSHEDPUR – Loyola School’s Bagless Day offers students unique experiential learning opportunities, promoting creativity and critical thinking beyond traditional classrooms.

Students from classes 6 to 9 participated in a variety of engaging activities on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

The event aimed to break away from conventional teaching methods.

Class 6 students explored religious diversity through visits to various places of worship.

"This experience will undoubtedly broaden their perspectives on different faiths," remarked a local education expert.

Class 7 students delved into rural craftsmanship, learning traditional arts from Purulia artisans.

They created sohrai and patkar paintings on terracotta pots.

Students also tried their hand at papier-mache and grass mat making.

Enhancing Cultural Appreciation

These workshops fostered creativity and respect for rural artisans.

They emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

A school official stated, "Our goal is to connect students with their roots and promote cultural understanding."

Addressing Adolescent Concerns

Classes 8 and 9 participated in wellness sessions focused on adolescent issues.

Dr. Manju Dubey, a renowned gynecologist, led discussions on physiological and psychological changes.

Dr. Kailash Dubey, an alumnus, spoke about channeling energies during this crucial life stage.

"These sessions provide valuable insights for teenagers navigating complex emotions," noted a participating student.

Geological Exploration

Class 9 students visited the P.N. Bose Geological Centre.

They explored the history of mining and studied rock formations.

The excursion offered hands-on learning about geological processes.
