JAMSHEDPUR – A seminar highlighting the crucial role of youth in nation building drew attention to both opportunities and challenges facing India’s younger generation.
The event, organized by Swami Vivekanand Vyakhyanmala Samiti, took place at Chitragupt Bhawan in Sonari.
Notably, it coincided with Chicago Day, commemorating Swami Vivekananda’s famous speech.
The seminar featured two sessions: an inauguration and a technical presentation of papers.
Meanwhile, esteemed speakers from across India shared insights on youth involvement in national progress.
Chaitanya Bhanu, Tata Steel’s Vice President of Operations, served as the chief guest.
He emphasized the importance of channeling youthful energy towards constructive nation-building efforts.
"Following Swami Vivekananda’s ideals can help create a strong, ethical society," Bhanu remarked.
However, retired DIG Deepak Sinha expressed concern over youth spending excessive time on social media.
He stressed the need to prioritize character building and national dignity over entertainment.
Moreover, the seminar saw participation from prominent academicians and thought leaders.
These included Vice Chancellors from Ranchi Central University and Jai Prakash Narayan University.
In addition, papers presented at the event are slated for future publication.
The organizing committee’s efforts, particularly those of AK Srivastava and Ajay Kumar Srivastava, were lauded.
