Anti-Larva Spraying Intensifies to Combat Dengue in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur Municipal Corporation steps up efforts to prevent dengue spread with daily anti-larva spraying and awareness programs.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Municipal Corporation has escalated its anti-dengue initiatives by undertaking daily anti-larva spraying in numerous regions and imposing penalties for water logging violations.
In order to mitigate the transmission of dengue in the city, the Additional Municipal Commissioner has implemented a daily anti-larva spraying regimen.
Residents are being encouraged to prevent the accumulation of water in containers, tanks, and tires located in close proximity to their residences.
Water logging violations in Uliidih, Azad Basti, and Sankusai Road No. 1 have resulted in fines totaling Rs. 10,500 as a consequence of recent inspections.
Fogging and anti-larva sprinkling operations were implemented in the Dimna Road and Old Purulia Road regions.
A roster has been established to guarantee that anti-larva sprinkling and fogging activities are conducted on a daily basis throughout the city.
The operations were overseen by the inspection team, which included Doctor Arshad and city manager Kunal Kumar Singh.
Additional City Commissioner Ranjit Lohra attended an awareness program on dengue prevention at Workers College.
Doctor Arshad from the Health Department organized the college event, which provided information on dengue prevention and hygiene practices.
The Municipal Corporation’s initiatives underscore the significance of community engagement in the prevention of dengue transmission.
