JAMSHEDPUR – Agrico Puja Committee initiates Durga Puja pandal construction with a Vedic ceremony, enlisting skilled artisans from West Bengal.
The Agrico Puja Committee has kicked off preparations for this year’s Durga Puja with a traditional Vedic Bhoomi Pujan ceremony.
A team of 40 expert artisans from Contai, West Bengal, has been commissioned to construct the grand pandal.
The committee has allocated a substantial budget of twelve lakh rupees for the pandal construction project.
Separate from the pandal team, skilled craftsmen from Belda, West Bengal, have been entrusted with creating an intricate Maa Durga idol.
The idol creation is budgeted at approximately one lakh thirty thousand rupees, reflecting the committee’s commitment to quality and grandeur.
"We’re excited to bring the best artisans from West Bengal to create a truly spectacular Durga Puja experience for our community," said a committee spokesperson.
The choice of artisans from West Bengal, known for their expertise in Durga Puja decorations, suggests that the committee is aiming for an authentic and traditional feel.
Local residents are eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the pandal and idol, which promise to be the centerpieces of the celebration.
