JAMSHEDPUR – Bengal Club and Karmakar Institute of Yoga to host 17th India Open Yoga Championship on August 31 and September 1.

The 17th India Open Yoga Championship 2024 is slated for August 31 and September 1 at the Bengal Club Auditorium.

This prestigious event is expected to draw 200-300 yoga enthusiasts from across India to compete and showcase their skills.

The Karmakar Institute of Yoga, founded in 1984, has been instrumental in promoting yoga globally.

With international branches and over 50 alumni serving as yoga instructors worldwide, the institute has a far-reaching impact.

The Bengal Club, celebrating its centenary, continues its tradition of fostering community well-being through this event.

"This championship is more than a competition; it’s a celebration of yoga’s transformative power," said Baishali Karmakar, President of the Karmakar Institute of Yoga.

The event aims to promote yoga’s benefits for physical and mental health among the general public.

Opening ceremonies will commence on August 31 at 12:30 pm, with the prize distribution scheduled for September 1 at 6:00 pm.

Soumya Sen, Secretary of The Bengal Club, emphasized the event’s role in deepening yoga appreciation.

The championship underscores Jamshedpur’s commitment to promoting holistic wellness and cultural enrichment.

Organizers hope the event will inspire more people to incorporate yoga into their daily lives.
