JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant incident, a freight train passing through Sonua station in the Chakradharpur Railway Division caused substantial damage to a foot over bridge after its open door struck the bridge pillar.

The collision led to extensive damage to both the pillar and the foot over bridge at Sonua station.

Both the up and down lines have been closed to train traffic following the collision.
