Kolhan’s Regional Joint Education Director Passes Away at 56

Nirmala Barelia succumbs to heart attack; remembered for educational contributions

Sudden demise of recently promoted education official shocks Jamshedpur’s academic community.

SERAIKELA – Nirmala Barelia, the Regional Joint Education Director of Kolhan, has died at 56 following a heart attack at her Gamharia residence.

Barelia suffered the cardiac event on Sunday evening and was rushed to Meditrina Hospital.

Doctors at the hospital declared her dead upon arrival.

The education official had recently been promoted to her position as Regional Joint Education Director.

Prior to her promotion, Barelia served as the District Education Officer of East Singhbhum.

In her previous role, she played a crucial part in achieving a top ranking for the district in matriculation results.

Under her guidance, East Singhbhum district achieved an impressive 94.07% pass rate this year.

Her sudden passing has deeply saddened the educational community in Jamshedpur.

Block Education Extension Officer Dinesh Kumar Dandapat praised Barelia’s supportive role in educational development.

Colleagues remember her for her dedication to improving educational standards in the region.

Barelia’s contributions to the education sector in Kolhan are expected to have a lasting impact.
