RANCHI – The Ranchi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express is set to include a stop at Parasnath station, according to a recent communication from the Ministry of Railways.
This new halt, expected to begin shortly, is aimed at providing better connectivity for passengers from Jharkhand and the surrounding regions.
The addition of this stop will particularly benefit Jain pilgrims who frequently travel to Parasnath for religious purposes.
Enhanced Connectivity for Pilgrims
This decision follows a request from Dr. Laxmikant Bajpai, a Member of Parliament.
It was officially confirmed by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in a letter dated July 12, 2024.
Parasnath is a major pilgrimage site for the Jain community, attracting thousands of devotees each year.
The inclusion of this halt on the Vande Bharat Express route will make it easier for pilgrims to reach their destination.
This stop will offer a faster and more comfortable travel option.
A railway official highlighted the importance of this decision, stating, "Adding Parasnath as a stop on the Vande Bharat route will enhance the overall travel experience for passengers, particularly those visiting for religious purposes."
