Chandil Dam Aircraft Search Continues for Fifth Day
Navy and NDRF teams face challenges in locating Alchemist Aviation’s sunken trainee plane
The search for Alchemist Aviation’s trainee aircraft in Chandil Dam enters its fifth day without significant progress.
JAMSHEDPUR – A joint team of Indian Navy and NDRF personnel continues the search for Alchemist Aviation’s sunken trainee aircraft in Chandil Dam, Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
The search operation has been hampered by murky water conditions and the presence of a submerged village beneath the dam’s surface.
A combined force of 16 NDRF and 15 Navy members is spearheading the effort to locate the aircraft.
The bodies of the trainee pilot and trainer were recovered days earlier, fueling speculation that the aircraft remains within the dam.
An extensive area of approximately 10 square kilometres has been thoroughly searched without success.
Authorities have deployed an underwater solar machine, which functions similarly to an X-ray, in an attempt to pinpoint the aircraft’s location.
While the specialized equipment has revealed images of submerged villages and houses, it has yet to detect the missing aircraft.
The recovery team remains committed to the search, awaiting any new developments that may aid in locating the sunken plane.
The challenging conditions underscore the complexity of the operation, as searchers navigate both natural and man-made obstacles beneath the water’s surface.
Despite the setbacks, the search continues with hopes of bringing closure to the incident and recovering the aircraft.
