Karim City College Hosts RBI-Backed Financial Literacy Program
Students gain vital financial knowledge in collaborative event with RBI Ranchi
In a joint effort to boost financial awareness, Karim City College and RBI Ranchi organized a comprehensive Financial Literacy Program for students.
JAMSHEDPUR – In order to improve the financial literacy of students, the Faculty of Commerce at Karim City College collaborated with RBI Ranchi to implement a Financial Literacy Program on Thursday.
A distinguished panel, which included Prem Ranjan Prasad Singh, Regional Director of RBI, Ranchi, inaugurated the event in the college.
The inauguration was also attended by Basant Paul Minj, the Assistant General Manager of RBI, Ranchi.
The visitors were greeted by Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, the Principal of Karim City College, who emphasized the significance of financial literacy in the fight against cybercrime.
It was noted that the financial literacy rate in India is a mere 27%, as emphasized by Dr. Md. Moazzam Nazri, the Head of the Commerce Department and program coordinator.
The central bank’s career opportunities and financial literacy fundamentals were the subjects of two informative sessions in the program.
These sessions were conducted by RBI officials from Ranchi, including Harshita Sahlok and Sohan Kumar Shome.
The bank acknowledged the victors of an interactive quiz that assessed their financial literacy.
Chief Guest Prem Ranjan Prasad Singh addressed the Reserve Bank of India’s initiatives to fortify India’s financial framework and advance financial inclusion.
During his program overview, Dr. Md. Moazzam Nazri emphasized the importance of enhancing financial literacy in order to empower individuals economically.
Dr. Aftab Alam delivered a vote of thanks at the conclusion of the ceremony.
