JAMSHEDPUR – A local shop in Mango, Jamshedpur, fell victim to a burglary late Friday night, with thieves making off with cash and goods worth about Rs 15,000.
The incident occurred at Janta Store, located near Tayyaba Masjid on Jawaharnagar Road No. 13.
Store owner Sarwar Ansari discovered the theft early Saturday morning upon opening his shop.
The burglars gained entry by cutting through the store’s asbestos roof.
Cash from the store’s cash box was among the items stolen during the break-in.
Local authorities have been alerted and are actively investigating the incident.
The theft falls under the jurisdiction of the Mango police station.
Police are working to identify the culprits responsible for the burglary.
