Jamshedpur police have launched an investigation after bike-borne criminals opened fire near Jemco Gurudwara, injuring Suraj, a friend of Mahesh Mishra.
JAMSHEDPUR – A shooting incident near Jemco Gurudwara in Jamshedpur left Suraj, a friend of Mahesh Mishra, injured on Friday evening.
The incident occurred when Mahesh Mishra, a resident of Manifit with criminal charges against him, was sitting in a car with his friends.
Suddenly, two assailants on a motorcycle approached and began firing.
During the assault, Suraj was hit by a bullet and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by locals for treatment.
After carrying out the attack, the culprits fled the scene.
The police arrived promptly and have started an investigation, recovering a bullet shell from the spot.
Authorities are also reviewing nearby CCTV footage to identify the attackers.
It is reported that Mahesh Mishra was en route to an undisclosed location with his friends when the attack took place.
The police are treating the incident as a serious criminal act, considering Mahesh’s background.
Residents expressed concern over the increasing violence in the area.
