School Vehicle Safety Blitz Launched in Jamshedpur

Transport Department Cracks Down on Non-Compliant School Vehicles

District officials conduct thorough checks on school transport to ensure student safety and regulatory compliance.

JAMSHEDPUR – A comprehensive inspection of school vehicles near Loyola School was carried out following directives from District Magistrate Ananya Mittal to enhance student safety.

District Transport Officer Dhananjay led the initiative, with Motor Vehicle Inspector Suraj Hembram examining 43 school vehicles.

The inspection focused on essential documents including fitness certificates, permits, and insurance.

Thirteen school vehicles were fined for failing to meet documentation requirements.

"Our primary concern is the safety of our children," stated a transport department official.

The campaign targeted Maruti vans, Magic vans, and school auto-rickshaws operating without valid fitness certificates.

Drivers were reminded about the importance of maintaining up-to-date vehicle documentation.

The transport department urged schools and parents to verify vehicle safety independently.

Officials warned of strict action against vehicles violating Motor Vehicle Rules.

Continuous inspections will be conducted to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards.

The initiative aims to prevent accidents and enhance overall road safety for school children.

Reports of non-compliant school vehicles prompted this rigorous enforcement action.

District authorities emphasized the critical nature of adhering to all traffic rules for school transport vehicles.
