Carmel Summit ’24 Kicks Off with 500+ Students from 13 Schools

Two-day inter-school event showcases diverse talents across multiple contests

Carmel Summit ’24, a major inter-school event, began with an inaugural procession and ceremonial lamp lighting, featuring participants from 13 schools.

JAMSHEDPUR – Carmel Junior College launched its two-day inter-school event, Carmel Summit ’24, with over 500 students from 13 schools participating in various contests.

The event commenced with an inaugural procession led by the school’s Manager and Principal, along with Teacher Moderators and school representatives.

Sister Jyothi D’Souza, Sister Sharel, Mousumi Mukherjee, Anoushka Sarkar, and Rushil Zatakia lit the ceremonial lamp to officially start the summit.

A captivating dance performance by Carmel students highlighted the significance of Desert festivals, aligning with 2024 being the International Year of Camelids.

Participating teams, named after famous deserts worldwide, are competing in contests designed to enhance various talents.

The summit features an extensive range of competitions managed by different school clubs, including the Computer Club, Electoral Literacy Club, and G.K. Club.

Other clubs involved in organizing contests include the Interact Club, Interreligious Club, Jyoti Unit, Legal Literacy Club, Literary Club, Mercantile Club, Scientifica Club, and Scouts and Guides Club.

Participating schools include D.B.M.S. English School, Gulmohur High School, Hill Top School, Loyola School, and Sacred Heart Convent School, among others.

Esteemed local professionals are judging the various contests, adding credibility to the competition.

The summit will conclude on August 10, 2024, with a Closing Ceremony at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony.

This event provides a platform for students to showcase their skills across different domains, fostering inter-school competition and collaboration.
