JAMSHEDPUR – A major ration black marketing case has been exposed in Kushmunda Panchayat of Hatgamharia block after villagers caught a female dealer red-handed.

The incident occurred in Kotchora Tirilpi village today. Local residents discovered the woman selling government rice openly. Moreover, they also apprehended a person transporting stolen ration.

Villagers recovered 41 sacks of grain from the scene. The total weight reached approximately 2050 kilograms reportedly. Furthermore, this represented ration meant for poor families.

The dealer was smuggling grain from Jharkhand to Odisha. She had been stealing supplies designated for beneficiaries. However, alert villagers intercepted the illegal operation.

Circle Officer Rishi Dev received immediate notification from residents. Villagers handed over all recovered materials to him. Besides, they demonstrated remarkable civic responsibility throughout.

Dev contacted Block Supply Officer immediately after receiving information. A departmental team was dispatched for investigation purposes. On the other hand, formal action has begun.

All recovered grain remains under village Munda’s custody currently. This ensures proper safeguarding until official proceedings conclude. Moreover, transparent handling maintains community trust.

District Supply Officer Sunila Khalko confirmed the incident officially. She promised thorough investigation of the entire matter. Furthermore, appropriate action against the dealer was assured.

Villager alertness led to this significant exposure today. Their vigilance protected poor people’s rightful entitlements effectively. In addition, community activism prevented further exploitation.

The dealer had been operating this scheme brazenly. Government rice was being sold illegally for profits. However, public awareness disrupted the criminal activity.

Departmental investigation teams are examining all evidence currently. Officials promise strict action against guilty parties. Meanwhile, recovery procedures ensure grain reaches intended beneficiaries.
