KPS Mango clinches multiple victories in prestigious inter-school boxing event

Kerala Public School Mango successfully hosts the 4th CISCE Regional Boxing Championship, showcasing young talent.

JAMSHEDPUR – Kerala Public School (KPS) Mango organized and dominated the 4th CISCE Regional Boxing Championship on August 8, 2024, with participation from 17 schools.

The event attracted 70 young boxers competing across various weight categories.

Feroz Khan, Sports Administrator at Tata Steel, inaugurated the championship.

In his opening remarks, Khan highlighted the crucial role of sports in providing a well-rounded education.

KPS Director Sharat Chandran Nair and Academic Director Lakshmi Sharat were among the distinguished guests present at the event.

Aruna Mishra, a Railway Inspector and accomplished boxer, also graced the occasion with her presence.

The championship featured intense competitions in Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories for both boys and girls.

KPS Mango demonstrated exceptional performance, emerging as the overall winner in multiple categories.

The host school claimed victories in the Under-14 Girls, Under-17 Boys, and both Under-19 Boys and Girls divisions.

KPS Kadma also showcased their boxing prowess, securing wins in the Under-14 Boys and Under-17 Girls categories.

The event highlighted the growing interest and talent in boxing among school students in the region.
