JAMSHEDPUR – Sanitation workers halt door-to-door garbage collection in protest for unpaid wages in Jugsalai.

Sanitation workers responsible for door-to-door garbage collection in Jugsalai have stopped work and started protesting over unpaid wages.

Holding placards, they are demonstrating in front of the Jugsalai Municipal Council office.

Cube Best Management Agency, which oversees the garbage collection, has failed to pay workers on time, leading to the strike.

The workers are demanding adherence to labor laws, implementation of a tripartite agreement with the Deputy Labor Commissioner, and payment of the minimum wage set by the Jharkhand government.

Other demands include timely payment of wages and the cessation of ESIC and PF irregularities.

Rajju Mukhi, a sanitation worker, emphasized that the protest will continue until their demands are met.

The strike has disrupted sanitation services, causing concerns about cleanliness in the Jugsalai area.

Additional sanitation workers have joined the protest, further impacting garbage collection services.

The workers insist that their grievances be addressed promptly to resume their duties.

Local residents are worried about the deteriorating sanitation conditions due to the ongoing strike.

The Jugsalai Municipal Council has yet to respond to the workers’ demands and the ongoing disruption.
