Jamshedpur SSP Outlines Comprehensive Crime Prevention Strategy

New Measures Target Drug Peddlers, Vehicle Theft, and POCSO Cases

Jamshedpur police chief unveils multi-pronged approach to enhance law enforcement and public safety during monthly crime review meeting.

JAMSHEDPUR – Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) conducts monthly crime review meeting, issuing directives to combat various criminal activities and improve public safety measures.

The SSP chaired a meeting with police officials, including rural SP, DSPs, and station in-charges, to discuss crime prevention strategies.

Authorities were instructed to launch a special campaign against drug peddlers in their respective jurisdictions.

Station in-charges are tasked with raising awareness about proper vehicle parking and using double locks through banner displays.

"We’re forming specialized teams under DSP leadership to tackle vehicle theft, snatching, burglary, and drug trafficking," revealed a senior police official.

Officers were directed to update road accident data on iRAD and iDAR apps within 48 hours to enhance road safety measures.

Daily vehicle checks at varying times and locations will be conducted to prosecute traffic law violators.

A special team under the Rural SP will be formed to execute warrants, notices, and attachments promptly.

"We’re intensifying our efforts against NDPS Act offenders by initiating PIT NDPS or surveillance proposals," stated the SSP.

POCSO Act cases must be resolved within 60 days, with unnecessary delays strictly prohibited.

Habitual offenders with multiple serious cases will face CCA and surveillance proposals.

Passport verification process has been streamlined, with a 5-day completion deadline set to avoid inconvenience to applicants.

Emergency Response Support System (112) complaints must be addressed within 30 minutes.

"Our goal is to create a safer Jamshedpur through these comprehensive measures," emphasized the SSP.

Outstanding performers, including Inspector Niranjan Kumar and Woman ASI Kamala Kumari Oraon, were honored with certificates and cash rewards for their exemplary work in June 2024.
