CRPF 86th Foundation Day Celebrated at 106 RAF Battalion in Sundernagar, Jamshedpur

The 86th Foundation Day of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the 106 Battalion in Sundernagar, Jamshedpur.

The CRPF marked its 86th Foundation Day with tributes to martyrs, a tree plantation drive, and celebrations at the 106 Battalion in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – On Saturday, the 106 Battalion of the Rapid Action Force in Sundernagar, Jamshedpur, celebrated the 86th Foundation Day of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the largest paramilitary force in the country.

The CRPF was established on July 27, 1939, initially named the Crown Representative Police, which was renamed after independence.

The ceremony commenced at 9:30 AM with tributes to martyrs for their sacrifices and bravery, attended by Second-in-Command Officer Shailendra Kumar, Second-in-Command Officer Sachidanand Mishra, other officers, and personnel.

At 10:00 AM, the chief guest took the salute at the Quarter Guard.

During the soldier’s conference, the importance, history, and sacrifices of the CRPF were highlighted, inspiring the personnel to uphold the dignity of the force and serve the nation with valor.

One officer remarked, "The CRPF’s history is filled with examples of bravery and dedication. Let us continue this legacy with pride and commitment."

Information about the glorious history, functions, and various dimensions of the CRPF was shared.

A large-scale tree plantation drive was also organized as part of the celebrations.

Sweets were distributed to the personnel by the Second-in-Command officers and other officials to mark the joyous occasion.

An inter-company cricket match was held in the evening, with trophies and gifts awarded to the winners.

To make the event special, a traditional grand feast was organized.
